Privacy Policy

This privacy policy relates to:

• The Memory Angel website
• The users who are the persons who visit the Memory Angel website
• The Privacy Act 1993 of New Zealand

1. Collection and use of personal information.

Memory Angel records information about users when they visit and register on the Memory Angel website. Memory Angel may use this information for the purposes described below and for system administration functions. The information is of three types:

1. Automatically captured data.

   This includes, but is not limited to:

   1. The internet address of the user's browser, and the type of browser used.
   2. The address of the user's server.
   3. The user's domain name.
   4. The user's IP and/or MAC address.
   5. The date and time that the user visited the website.
   6. The pages visited and any documents downloaded.
   7. The previous site visited.
   8. Access details for restricted sites.
   9. Cookies. Note: Cookies are very small text files sent from the Memory Angel server to the user's web browser to be stored on the user's computer. They are sent back to the Memory Angel server when the user's browser requests a page from the server. They can remain on a user's computer even after leaving the Memory Angel website. Some web browsers allow users to disable this function, but doing so will mean that the user cannot access certain Memory Angel functionality.
2. User supplied information

   This information is supplied by a user when they register to use the Memory Angel website and in the creation of persons and events using the forms and other feature of the Memory Angel website.

   This information will only be used for the purpose of the user accessing the functionality of the Memory Angel service to which they have registered, including automatically transferring this information to the Memory Angel Android application on a device that the user has registered.

3. Other system supplied information

   This is information automatically supplied to the Memory Angel website when the user or a person registered by the user authorises a third party provider to supply information to the Memory Angel website.

   This information will only be supplied to the Memory Angel when authorised by the user.

   This information will only be used for the purpose of the user accessing the functionality of the Memory Angel service to which they have registered, including automatically transferring this information to the Memory Angel Android application on a device that the user has registered.

2. Payment information

The Memory Angel website enables a user to make payments for the purpose of subscribing to services.

Payment information, including credit card details is managed by a Payment Express. The privacy policy relating to this information is maintained by Payment Express. A copy of the Payment Express privacy policy can be found at the following internet address:

3. Security of personal information.

Memory Angel takes all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access and/or use of personal information that it holds.

4. Disclosure of personal information.

Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without the consent of the user unless the use is within the scope of the purposes for which the information was collected.

5. Access to and correction of personal information.

The user has the right to view all personal information held by Memory Angel about them. The user may request correction of information by contacting the Memory Angel administrator (info@memoryangel.com).
